The Venus sign determines a person’s love nature as well as how he or she attracts a partner. In a man’s chart, the placement of Venus determines the type of woman he is attracted to. In a woman’s chart, Venus determines her view of femininity, as well as how she expresses her feminine qualities. Venus represents love, sensuality, romance, beauty, affection and social appeal. Its placement in your natal chart provides insight into what you are attracted to in a partner as well as what type of person is attracted to you. Use the following guide to determine your love nature and find out how to attract a man based on his Venus sign characteristics.

- Venus in Aries -
The man who has Venus in Aries is attracted to women who are assertive, feisty and free-spirited. His ideal woman is energetic and independent. He needs a woman who has her own interests and is not too dependent on him. The Venus in Aries male finds women who play hard to get extremely appealing. On the other hand, he is also turned on by women who are aggressive and may find it enjoyable to be chased or seduced by an assertive woman. This man admires strength and courage and wants a woman who is bold and spontaneous. A competitive spirit is also a turn on for the man who has Venus in Aries and he may enjoy playing sports with the object of his affection or engaging in other competitive activities.

- Venus in Taurus -

He likes women who are calm and easy-going. A woman who is sensual and demonstrative is also particularly attractive to this type of man. The Venus in Taurus male does not want a woman who is too energetic or independent and prefers a woman he can relax with. He also tends to be attracted to women who have a pleasant, melodic and soothing voice. He needs a woman who can cater to all of his sensual needs and he is always prepared to return the favor.

- Venus in Gemini -

Interesting conversation is the best seduction for this man and women who are good talkers or good listeners are quite attractive to him.

The man who has Venus in Libra is turned off by a woman who is rude, crude or loud. His type of woman is romantic and feminine. This male is fickle when it comes to relationships, however, and it may take him a long time to make up his mind about someone. Even after he chooses a woman to settle down with, he may have doubts that she is the “one” several years later.

- Venus in Pisces -
The man who has Venus in Pisces tends to attract women who are romantic and emotional. A woman who is sensitive and passive is also especially appealing to this man. He is drawn to ultra-feminine or old-fashioned females who appear innocent and demure. He responds to women who are compassionate, caring and selfless, possibly a woman who works in a service-oriented field, such as a nurse or counselor. An intriguing or mysterious female is also considerably appealing to this man. The Venus in Pisces male is likely to become involved in a secret love affair during his lifetime.

      I'm a Venus in Scorpio.

I do like a Woman who take's charge. It can be a major turn on.

I don't like Women who lie back and think of England types. That is so boring and unsatisfying.

Venus in Scorpio can feel like the Phoenix that rises from the Ashes, and its a connection of Mind, Body and Soul fused with another. If that kind of connection is not there, then the energy is dead as a Dodo.

Well this is strange. I have Venus in Scorpio and I like the man to be the way expressed above. But a man! lol! I have Mars in Libra and I don't particularly like the Libran type of man at all. Anyone know why this could possibly work for a straight woman too?

Hey i have the same as you. I have read before that for a woman, her venus is how she portrays herself to other prospective lovers (male or female?)

My venus in scorpio means that I give off the secretive, mysterious vibe and my mars in libra make me 'want' a man who is prim and proper. To be honest, i wouldnt mind rough and rugged AT ALL :) in fact I prefer that variety of men..but he has to be respectful and with top notch manners, and a friendly warm personality, which goes with the libra sign..

I have Venus in Scorp as well with a Libra Sun/Asc, so I can turn on that Scorpio sensuality for him, and those Libran dimples and jokes for his mom & dad, lol. My Mars in Cancer draws me to moody, disgruntled latest victim is quite harmonious with me, with his Venus in Libra and his Mars in Cancer as well; I love crumbling his prim Virgo exterior that hides the beast lolololol

    Venus Gemini, although also conjunct Black Moon in Gemini;
I easily relate to respective descriptions, having always been 'selective' on terms of mental connection.
    Same story, o'r an o'r.
Dating a Gemini Sun/Asc, been with her for over half a year; longest ever for me. Typically, it was 2 months of dating per 10 years of living XD

I know of a guy who has Venus Rx in Aries and he does like women who fit the description of Venus in Aries, but he has a tough time expressing it.

I know another guy with Venus in Cancer and he likes to be nurtured.

Venus in Gemini man was my lover for many years, over which time he had two other partners - it seems he needed two concurrent partners at a time. Our foreplay was talk, talk and more talk - I often felt like I was his psychologist as I did a lot of listening.

My moon/neptune/south node is conjunct his IC exact degree AND is inconjunct his Venus, square his Mars and trine his Sun by exact degree (yes, he had all those planets at 21 degrees and mine were 21 & 19) I was so sucked in to him emotionally and psychically, and yes, it must have been from a past life, and my karma came back and bit me on the butt. His Saturn was conjunct my Mars in exact degree. His Pluto squared my Venus exact.

I have a theory about this - as he has Taurus Moon (mine is Scorpio) and Taurus is co-ruler of Venus, he has problems integrating the feminine and maternal within himself - Venus represents the intellectual concept of love in that it emanates from what we value and Moon represents the maternal/nurturing concept of love. Richard Idemon gave me the idea about splitting with respect to Moon & Venus contacts in a chart. My lover therefore finds it difficult to find that energy within the one woman as he is really in conflict with himself. With my Moon/Neptune/S.Node on his IC, I believe I represented the nurturing love for him, whilst his other woman represented Venus. I also have Venus/Mars/Jupiter in Cancer which is his Sun sign - the nurturing sign.

Anyway, this was a profound experience for me, and I loved him deeply. I was grateful to have the astrological explanation for this gravitational pull we had to one another. I wonder what next life has in store for us, as I feel things are not completed.

At least three of my ex's have venus in aries. I'm not sexually/romantically aggressive nor assertive, but I am pretty "challenging" to tie down I think. And feisty and free-spirited, yeah. Somewhat combatant with love interests too. Hmm... I had always thought about it too simplistically I guess. I figured because my venus/mars conjunct in pisces (though I suppose there's the martian connection right there) that I would attract with the opposite of these qualities.

Well, my venus is in virgo and it opposites mars in pisces (last degree). I guess I am usually attracted to women with virgo somehow prominent in their chart. I have noticed that they have also generally very strong mercury-venus-uranus-neptune energy going on in their chart. But I have experienced just an attraction, because I am quite unsocial hermit due to my unstable emotional nature or something like that.
